The coronavirus pandemic has forced many smartphone makers to launch their devices online and Samsung too will have to take the online route to unveil its latest flagship models. As per new reports, Samsung is planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold in the first week of August this year. Interestingly, the online launch event would be a first for Samsung as the tech giant had never released a phone online before.

As per a report in DroidLife, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 in an online-only unpacked event on August 5, 2020. The same was confirmed by a credible Samsung tipster Ice Universe. As of now, Samsung is on track for the launch but given the fact that the launch date is still two months, there can be changes too.

The speculations are rife that along with the flagship devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2, the South Korean giant might unveil the new Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ at the online event. However, these are only speculations and there has been no official word by the company on this.

Ahead of the big launch, some specifications of the two flagship devices— the Galaxy Note 20, Fold 2 surfaced online. The latest reports claimed that a new variant of the Galaxy Note 20+ had made it to CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) certification process which revealed some important information about the phone such as support for 5G networks and 25W fast wired charging for the phone. A new render claimed that the Galaxy Note 20 might look similar to the Galaxy S20 series.

As far as the specs are concerned, OnLeaks claims that the Galaxy Note 20+ might feature a big display at 6.9-inches Dynamic AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, much bigger than its predecessor Note 10+ which flaunted a 6.8-inches display. Under the hood, Galaxy Note 20 series could house a Snapdragon 865+/ Exynos 992 SoCs.

Samsung is also rumored to bring a 108-megapixel camera sensor to the Galaxy Note 20+. Along with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, the camera module could comprise of a 48 megapixel and a 12-megapixel camera. It might feature a 40-megapixel front camera.

Coming to the Galaxy Fold 2, the phone is expected to be slightly bigger than its predecessor, Galaxy Fold. The foldable device by Samsung might feature a 7.59-inch screen with 2213x1689 resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
